July 09 2006 was the beginning of my journey to the "City of temples".......PURI in Orissa.
when my father told us about the so called "Tirth Yatra", i was feeling stucked....i want some thing exciting
...i told him....but i was wrong...this yatra has changed me completely in many ways....
First of all i will inform my friends about the great heritage of Puri......

1. The great Jaggernath Temple

The greatness of the temple lies in its building,sclupture,beliefs,ways of performing puja.
but now u will think...most of the Indian temples have this thing ...what's new?
At the Puri temple i found one very unique thing...

Purohits there use to worship Bhagwan Jaggernath 4 times a day but the most special thing is that
the pandas cook the food in the most primitive way,they put nine earthen pots one above the other
and then lit the fire made by wood.At a time there are some 200 pandas making the food in the same
manner.
everyday 56 different type of food is prepared,they don't use any modern techniques.Can u imagine
the technique used....one pot is heated and the other 8 pots food is also cooked at the same time?
i was amazed by there simplicity....way of living...having nothing yet so satisfied...just by worshiping
God.......simply great.
Out of curiosity i asked them what they get after devoting there whole life in just cooking the food...
generation by generation.
Answer was very simple....... Devotion,high thinking.....i was puzzled how can be they so happy...
when we all want to grab everything...
by spending time with them i came to a conclusion.....

happiness is within u.....just look and find out....be happy always
